Ocean pollution is a big problem all over the world and has many effects on the environment. Ocean pollution injures and kills marine life, interferes with navigation safety, and poses a threat to human health. Our oceans and waterways are polluted with a wide variety of marine debris ranging from soda cans and plastic bags to fishing gear and abandoned vessels. Today, there is no place on earth immune to this problem. Most of the
garbage in the ocean comes from land activities and human products, such as oil, fertilizers, sewage and plastic that have no place to go on land and is put in the ocean instead. Today, there are many organizations that help reduce this pollution by gathering volunteers that make effort to clean the beaches and the ocean waters also, in the past years savvier punishments are given to people who pollute the oceans.

While a lot of people don’t litter the oceans, we have to stop streaming litter to the oceans to stop pollution because even though people try very hard to reserve the oceans the amount of chemicals and plastic is just to big for volunteers to solve, that is why there are organizations that focus on confronting companies, fishermen, and local literatures and try to stop the problem from its root by protecting.
